How would you describe Get Lesta - what's the main aim of it?

Callun:

Just what I film, sounds better than 'Callun Loomes videos' haha. As long as people are keen to film I'm down.

Hooked:

Why did you set it up?

Callun:

Only person who used to film in Leicester was SPT, he moved to London a couple of years ago so I bought his camera off him and just been filming since. Every city has to have someone filming right?

Hooked:

How much time do you get to skate with all the filming and editing you do?

Callun:

I only tend to skate when we go to a skatepark for a chill, I go boardroom most nights though. Only skate if there's nothing to film.

Hooked:

How long have you been skating yourself?

Callun:

Around 5 years, the last year I've pretty much just filmed though.

Hooked:

What else do you do apart from skate, filming and lurking?

Callun:

Get girls to write on themself? ha. I do a film course at college, and work at my Grandma's pub during the week, so tend to film most week nights and at weekends.

What gets you hyped to skate..?

Callun:

Andrew Reynolds.

Hooked:

Do you get hyped to film - or is it just the concept of the end result that keeps you going?

Callun:

Yeah fully, I've not been out last few days due to christmas and I'm itching to go out in the cold! I obviously enjoy the editing part in the warm, but cant say I don't like going out late at night in the cold hoping school fences an that!

You've just dropped the Get Lesta video, seen the trailer, it's epic. Who worked hardest for their tricks?

Callun:

Everyone went through stages, split between Mike & Joe. Mike had the first half with tons of footage, but then calmed down towards the end. Joe got more hyped towards the end so caught up.

Hooked:

What was the worst slam that happened whilst filming?

Callun:

Josh Walters, there's a glimpse of it in the trailer where he flies down some stairs on his back. He was so lucky I thought he was completely f***ed up. Could of broke anything/everything!

Does each person have individual parts or is it more montage style?

Callun:

Everyone has there own part, although there is a couple of montages away. Theres Intro, Mike Simons, Ravenous montage, Josh Walters, Friends, Matt Clarke, Earth pain montage, Joe Marks.

Where was the video filmed?

Callun:

All around really, most places were within couple of hours drive from Leicester or Sheffield though. Couple of trips to London aswell though.

What video get's you hyped... to film / skate / edit something different and special?

Callun:

Recently Stay Gold is all I've watched. Filming & editing is amazing, full of bangers, can't go wrong! Love watching UK scene video's though, constantly watching them.

Hooked:

What's your favourite video in terms of creativity / editing / difference from other videos - Pontus Alv always makes gnarly stuff, where as Spike Jonz always has an interesting angle. What are your thoughts?

Callun:

I love the Transworld video's because they choose a big variety of skaters, nothing worse than a video coming out with all the skaters looking and skating the same, need to mix it up.

Who are all those girls with Get Lesta scrawled on their boobs on your site?

Callun:

There the best bit about Get Lesta, ha. Nah there..erm amazing?

Hooked:

The video premiered on the 22nd which was epic. What projects have you got planned after that?

Callun:

Going LA filming for couple of weeks with Joe in Feb so super hyped for that, apart from that just help out with the bomber video and film what I can I suppose!
